ANDevices provides low cost optical bench solutions for transmit/receive
devices used for LX4 and 10GbE applications. Our planar lightwave circuit
technology is an ideal platform for hybrid integration of photodetectors
and laser diodes. Proximity wells can be etched into the waveguides for
passive alignment of active devices, and metal pads can be deposited onto
the chips for electrical connection. The geometry of the low-loss waveguides
can be tailored to optimize the coupling efficiency to the active components.
